The Club Car Championship is taking place at The Landings Club – Deer Creek Course. The event is also known as Savannah Golf Championship and is part of Korn Ferry Tour. The event runs from April 4th till April 7th and is broadcasted on The Golf Channel. Club Car Championship 2024 Preview:
The four day tournament is part of the Korn Ferry Tour, having 72-hole stroke play. The history of Savannah Open dates back to the 1930s with Savannah Open 1930. Later in 2019 The Club Car Championship began in 2018 at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club in Georgia.
A total of 156 players and top 50 in the Korn Ferry Tour list will partake in the event. Last year David Skinns won the championship title but won’t be taking part this year. This year three past champions are partaking in the event. T.J. Vogel won in 2022, Harmeling in 2020 and Dan McCarthy in 2019.
Mason Anderson is the first seed of the event and Kevin Velo holds the second place in the rank. Moreover in the event 12 players who are participating have collegiate ties in Georgia.
Club Car Championship 2024 Purse:
The purse in 2024 is similar to that of 2023 set at $1 million for the event. So the individual distribution is quite similar to last year.
The winner will receive $180,000, the only person taking a six-figure prize money. Besides that a total of 65 players will receive prize money. The first and second runner-up will receive $90,000 and $60,000 respectively.
The last person who is 65th in the standing will receive a $4,000 prize money. The 64th and 63rd person will receive $4,020 and $4,040 respectively.
